The Public and Retailers are hereby informed that recently, in the Brunei market, dubious Airconditioners with Panasonic markings have been found and identified. These units are not imported by AEC Sdn Bhd. AEC Sdn Bhd is the only authorized distributor for Panasonic Airconditioners in Brunei. AEC Sdn Bhd then appoints sub-distributors or dealers whose names are listed below.

How to identify dubious Airconditioners with Panasonic markings
Authenticity of clear “Panasonic label” is dubious. There is no serial markings to verify origin of goods. Such clear stickers can be fabricated. A cut out is fabricated where a genuine serial is normally found. A “replacement bar code” is affixed over the cut out to make the goods appear to be a parallel import genuine product. In any event CU-PC18JKF models are not suitable for South-East Asia market as they are meant for countries with different climate temperatures. The parts are different and there are no spare parts available in this region.
Customers in Brunei are advised to do the followings:
1. Insist on your Original Panasonic warranty card issued by AEC Sdn Bhd.
2. Check your air-conditioner cassette unit or condenser for the above detail.
3. If your air-conditioner comes with AEC Sdn Bhd warranty card but the serial number has been tampered with, report to AEC Sdn Bhd at Hot line Tel: 233 9134
4. If you have been sold dubious air-conditioners, report to the Police immediately.
5. If attempts are made to sell you dubious air-conditioners, report to the Police immediately with evidence.
6. Panasonic Malaysia ( the Manufacturer) DOES NOT GIVE WARRANTY for any Panasonic air-conditioners or dubious or fake Panasonic air-conditioners sold or used in Brunei which are NOT supplied by AEC Sdn Bhd.
